"When two or more gather with a cup of hot coffee or tea, the door to conversation opens. Whether it’s around the kitchen table, at a neighborhood coffee shop or local café – the stage is set. People are relaxed and ready to share. Family Conversations helps set the stage. Mom, Dad…Can We Talk? is our conversation starter."

Our Business Philosophy and Foundations

We believe being in service to the needs of older persons – family and friends, clients and customers – is a noble calling.

We believe being in service to older persons enriches our lives and make us better persons.

We believe we can be of best service to older persons if we communicate, share and learn from each other.

We believe in the primacy of the family – big, small, close knit or fractured – and the potential for positive outcomes, regardless.

Our primary focus is the family, aging parents and adult children, but we also offer counsel to those who plan and provide older adult services.

We help adult children to stop and think, to evaluate and anticipate, to communicate, navigate and, yes, celebrate the final years of the parent-child relationship. No regrets.

Our tools include the book Mom, Dad... Can We Talk?, our web site www.momdadcanwetalk.com where people can share experiences, ask questions and learn from each other, our discussion guide for small groups, and our public speaking engagements. We also draw upon our career experience working closely with older adults and their families and, of course, our most personal experience as adult children and aging persons.
